Who we are

Handspring has set out to rebuild the pediatric behavioral health system from the ground up. We are a team of diverse, mission-driven, and passionate individuals dedicated to making quality mental healthcare accessible to all young people.

We're hiring a Pacific Time zone-based Clinical Supervisor to join our team. The position will initially be part-time, requiring 6-8 hours per week as a contractor. If the relationship progresses well, there is potential for this to become a full-time role in 2025.

About the role

Handspring is a mission-driven, early-stage healthcare organization. We are interested in working with people with an ownership mindset and who thrive in a collaborative environment. We are an ego-free organization.

We are seeking a part-time Clinical Supervisor to join our team. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will oversee and support our team of therapists. Your role involves providing clinical guidance, ensuring quality care, and fostering professional development among our therapists. You'll conduct supervision sessions, offer case consultations, and implement evidence-based practices. This position offers the opportunity to shape our clinical approach and mentor therapists while improving mental health outcomes for young patients.

This is an opportunity to be a core part of a mission-driven organization that is looking to transform pediatric behavioral healthcare. You will work closely with Handspring’s Clinical Leadership.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee and provide clinical supervision to therapists. Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to ensure high-quality care and professional development

  • Facilitate case consultations and lead team meetings to promote collaborative problem-solving and knowledge sharing

  • Review and provide feedback on treatment plans and clinical documentation to maintain best practices

  • Ensure therapists' compliance with safety protocols, documentation requirements, and ethical standards

  • Provide on-call risk consultation during clinic hours for complex or crisis situations

  • Mentor and support therapists in their professional growth

  • Participate in quality assurance efforts, including regular chart audits and outcome measurements

  • Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to develop and implement new evidence-based treatment approaches and programs

What we’re looking for

  • Licensed mental health professional with at least 8 years post-license experience providing psychotherapy, including 5+ years specifically in pediatric mental health

  • Experience with supervision and risk management

  • Active, unrestricted clinical license (LCSW, LPCC, or LMFTs) and must reside in the Pacific Time Zone (PT)

  • Ability to work independently with an interest in collaboration and learning

  • Comfort with using and learning new technologies, including Zoom, Office, electronic health record systems, and other team collaboration tools

  • Extensive knowledge of evidence based treatments such as CBT, DBT, ERP, HRT, and/or behavioral parenting support & training

  • Experience treating children, adolescents, and/or young adults with a range of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, behavioral challenges, and other diagnoses of childhood and adolescence

  • Ability to commit approximately 6-8 hours per week to this role. This would include 6 hours for supervising therapists and 1 hour for consultation teams and meetings. Ideally, this would transition into a full-time position in 2025, if the relationship continues to progress positively

Compensation:

  • You will be an independent contractor (1099)

    • Compensation: $70.00-90.00 an hour

    • Compensation is determined by years of licensure, years of pediatric mental health experience, and supervisory experience

This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity.
