About us

EVERY™ is a leading VC-backed food tech ingredient company and market leader using precision fermentation to create animal proteins without the animal for the global food and beverage industry. EVERY™ is a team of passionate change-makers who are reimagining the factory farm model with a kinder, more sustainable alternative. Leveraging precision fermentation to produce hyper-functional and one-to-one replacement proteins from microorganisms, EVERY™ is on a mission to decouple the world’s proteins from the animals that make them.

We are a passionate, determined (and fun!) team with a vital objective, and we're on the lookout for like-minded people to join our mission. Sound like you?

The Role:

EVERY™ is seeking a talented and creative VP to lead its Manufacturing organization. You will set the strategic direction and manage execution against all manufacturing and supply chain efforts in alignment with company goals. You will engage with Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing Strategy, Manufacturing Partnerships and the Technology Scale Up teams to meet current and future customer demand, procuring and delivering quality product at predictable costs from multiple, global contract manufacturers. You will manage effective communication and coordination between Commercial, Finance, Business Operations and QC along with other internal departments, teams and external resources. Ultimately, you will lead, develop, and mobilize EVERY's Manufacturing and Supply Chain Organizations to drive results and deliver against KPIs that will achieve EVERY's financial and customer goals.

What you'll accomplish

  • Lead and manage EVERY’s Manufacturing Organization, ensuring that EVERY’s aggressive customer growth, supply plans, cost and fulfillment KPIs are met.
  • Develop both short and long-term Manufacturing and Supply Chain strategies that optimize cost and balance needs to the Commercial team to realize EVERY’s growth strategy.
  • Guide day-to-day operations of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Organizations, coordinating with the Commercial and Finance teams to deliver against annual targets and continuously improve performance.
  • Ability to develop and then translate a vision for Manufacturing and Supply Chain into a tangible organization with the appropriate supporting business processes that will serve the needs of EVERY for the coming 3-5 years.
  • Initiate performance improvement programs in collaboration with Finance, Commercial and the R&D teams so that EVERY has a clear path to positive growth margins and expansion of EVERY’s total addressable market.
  • Responsible for balancing total product supply and the Commercial Teams’ demand and quality needs/requirements such that EVERY is gross margin positive by end-2024.
  • Responsible for staffing the Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations appropriately to meet company and departmental goals.
  • Responsible for (re)negotiating manufacturing and supply chain contracts that will provide predictable costs and reliable supply of EVERY’s products, no matter where in the world they are produced.
  • Responsible for ensuring that implementation of new technology (e.g., process technology, strain, etc.) results in predictable improvements in KPIs (i.e., cost, quality, working capital, product availability, etc.).
  • Responsible for prioritizing projects, implementing best practices, and leading development and implementation of operational excellence models/programs.
  • Build and balance winning teams with appropriate and coordinated HR actions, and delegate responsibilities for tasks to appropriate teams and team members.
  • Responsible for providing input to EVERY’s Business Operations Team for the eventual design and implementation of its future ERP system.
  • Recommend process improvements to improve financial performance in accordance with company objectives.

What you bring (required)

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or similar discipline, preferably with experience in the manufacture of B2B type products.
  • 10+ years of relevant manufacturing and supply chain experience.
  • Hands on experience with global procurement, manufacturing and supply chains with multi-modal transport requirements (i.e., ocean, OTR, warehousing, etc.) for both powder and liquid products.
  • Outstanding record of operational excellence, proficiency, creativity, and effective collaboration.
  • The ability to inspire colleagues, deliver results, and respond quickly in a shared-mission start-up company.
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills required to communicate to business and lay audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams and manage multiple objectives in parallel.
  • Demonstrated success in transitioning a startup manufacturer to a more mature organization with appropriate milestones for success.
  • Ability to provide direct reports with clear and collaborative business objectives and performance targets.
